Why would they want Jones? Detroit probably loses Stecher. Jones has a 3 team trade list and I doubt Detroit is on it. With a $5.75M cap hit for the next 3 seasons I wouldn't take him for just a 1st. I think extending Bernier makes a lot more sense.

Laughton ok, maybe even mccabe but the other ufas aren't worth it. I'd hope for better. No way on jones, sign whoever to back up greiss. Hronek better be more than a 2.5 million dollar dman by the time the year is over.

Good value wise but the Sharks don't do that. Rather just keep Jones.

Usually if a player is approached with a trade they will waive the NTC, sure some players stick to it, but most team players waive it so i doubt it would be a huge issue, I doubt the sharks give up a first to move him. Lesson learned from Karlsson trade, but if the wings are offered this i would assume they take it and run.

I understand how it works and I don't see him waiving. Detroit was historically bad last season and most likely won't make the playoffs until 2022-23 at the earliest. Jones is 31 isn't going to want to finish his contract on a rebuilding team. Especially when it could be his ;last.

Barf No thanks on Martin jones, bad contract declining plus doubt Detroit's on his 3 team trade list anyways.
