The Avalanche are not exposing Burakovsky, Graves will most likely be selected.

I think avs will choose 8FD/1G format and protect : Mack, Ranta, Landeskog, Kadri, E.Johnson*NMC, Makar, Girard and Toews.

If they choose to protect 7F and 3D they'll have to unprotect one of Makar, Girard or Toews

Tbh I’d rather loose Kadri, Burakovsky is blossoming into what people thought he was gonna be when he was with the caps.

I don't see Jokiharju being available and Ekholm certainly won't be. As a Tampa fan I'd love for Seattle to take McDonagh

Not following them enough to know who would be the 4rth forward protected, but for sure they'll lose one forward in the draft. Can't imagine they'll left one of Makar, Girard or Toews unprotected

If NSH does 7-3, one of Ekholm or Fabbro will be exposed.

Of course not, why? Jokiharju is more promising and younger. Montour signed a contract for one year and in the summer there will be UFA, we don't need to protect him.

Then I guess Borgen or Pilut would be selected

I dont see RNH being available. Minnesota has a tough call on Dumba, but I personally think they will expose some of their young forwards rather than Dumba.

As others have said, Burakovsky likely not available as well.

Some other things I think about is teams like Vancouver maybe giving up a 1st round pick for Seattle to take a guy like Erikson? Obviously you cant account for that here, but I think there is lots of opportunity for Seattle to take on cap and recieve picks as payments like Vegas did.

Vancouver (Eriksson) / Tampa (Johnson, or others...) / Chicago (Seabrook, or others...) / Islanders (Ladd) / Jets (Little)

If they even take 2 or 3 of those guys they can get a great prospect pool started.

They would be one of the few teams better off protecting 4 defensemen and 4 forwards imo (Josi,Ellis,Fabbro,Ekholm and Johnson,Duchene,Arvidsson,Forsberg)

It comes down to who would you rather lose, Ekholm or Grandlund (or Kunin or Jarnkrok). To me Ekholm is more valuable than any of those guys.

That’s one way to be rude, and screw over Edmonton. I now doubt that they will get Jones, because I believe Klefbom will stay out.

I think that Burakovsky, Clague, Dumba and Jokiharju will all be protected.

It seems to me that LA would rather lose a mid-6 forward than any one of Anderson, Clague, Roy or Walker. Forwards protected would be Kopitar, Iafallo, Kempe and Andersson.

I think that he has to be. Lehkonen and Byron are the only forwards likely to qualify who wouldn't be on the protection list (unless it's Evans).

Can't see the Wild losing Dumba for free. I think they'll protect 8 skaters and lose Greenway or Soucy before they lose Dumba.

I’m currently debating between Lehkonen & Evans. (This is assuming we re-sign Danault)

Evans has looked really good so far, and he plays the more important position, and is much cheaper. Although leaving Lehkonen exposed doesn’t feel great. So I’m on the fence.

But yeah, to meet the exposure requirements it would be Byron & Lehkonen/Evans. Or if we don’t re-sign Danault we can re-sign Armia and protect or expose him. (Or re-sign Perry/Frolík if they play 13+ games this year)

Only if Tatar and Danault sign an extension prior to the expansion draft

Otherwise he’s protected

Lehkonen over Evans
Not even close
Evans is a Rookie 4th liner at 24 yo.
Lehkonen is a good 3rd liner 25 yo...
I don’t think Evans get drafted by Seattle
