For anybody wondering how this happened at this point in time:

Pavel asked for his contract with Traktor to be terminated so he could sign with Vegas, Traktor agreed, while retaining his KHL rights.

Another in a line of interesting Knights picks from the mid-rounds: Elvenes, Korczak, Dugan, Kolesar, Cormier, Saville, Morozov, Deliberatore, now Dorofeyev. For such a new franchise and for such a win-now front office, they seem to do a really good job at the draft.

Kolesar was drafted by the Jackets. Traded to Vegas a couple years later for a 2nd rounder.
