Time to annoy Preds fans

Description
One more trade, this time to incense Preds fans (LOL) as I think Sissons is something of a fan favourite. Annoying to play against and signed to a nice contract, an upgrade on JT Compher as a RW/C. Probably all good reasons NAS would want to keep him, and a sign he's probably very happy in Nashville but have to start somewhere. Non-covid intra-division trade but the Avs and Preds have traded before. I'd be happy to go as far as a third rounder or certain prospects but Donskoi or Compher would have to be the main piece from the Avs.

There's a reason Poile signed Colton to a 6 year deal, and it's because that organisation likes him. I doubt they'd trade him for what would be a minor upgrade while adding cap.

Yeah I'd think that it would probably need the overpay again to prise him out in the terms of a reasonable prospect or higher pick.

NSH declines. I could see Sissons being moved at the deadline for picks/prospects but not with a more expensive roster player with term as part of the return.

What do you think his value is picks/prospects wise?

Tough to say. A 3rd and a prospect? I haven't followed COL's prospects much lately, but maybe someone like Beaucage or Bowers.

Thanks for the info. I doubt Bowers would be on the cards but Beaucage I'd certainly consider.

Using this post to ask a question of Av's fans...how often did Paul Stastny play wing during his time with the team and how good was he?

Strictly speaking not often, but because of the whole Duchene/O'Reilly/Stastny/MacKinnon logjam they had though there were times you would see him more in a 'wing position' (after being thrown out of the face off or if giving time to one of the others). Earlier in his career a little as well maybe. Not really a role he was cut out for though IMHO.
