It is Tatar or Danault. I would go with Tatar. He is the most talented. Think Evans could replace Danault and Poehling take the 4 center spot.

Worse case scenario you mean

KK will get around 2.5M AAV 2 years
Danault worse case is 6 years at 5.5 AAV
Tatar hopefully a 1 year deal or 4 years 5M AAV, 6M is way too much
Lehkonen will probably get around that but cheaper would be better
I dont see Armia coming back for cheap, I think he'll hit the free agency and try to go play somewhere on the Top9

Anyway you should have call this worse case scenario not best xD

I would imagine Armia takes a less term higher salary deal elsewhere. Especially being on the fourth line, he's a middle six guy who excels in special teams, the habs would waste him on the fourth

What you suggest is what you wish they would agree to sign for. I wish they would take a hometown discount and sign in Montreal for a reasonable price too, but @koremoo numbers are far from "worse case scenario" or "way too much".

If Strome and Hintz got North of 3M, KK wont be far.

Danault and Tatar would also get between 5.5-6M for at least 5 years on the UFA market. Comparables are there.

Danault would sign today if Bergevin offers him 6 years 5.5M
Tatar will decide if he takes a discount to stay in MTL ( needs to be between 5M - 5.5M )

Dude, Im not going to argue over a 500k difference.

The difference between "reasonable" and "way too much is bigger than that. You are still mixing up what you want them to sign for and their fair market value.

Hayes at 7x7.15M and Kreider at 7x6.5M, both signed a year ago, would be the upper bracket.
