I read somewhere negotiations were going sour because Edmonton refused to go over 7M. If not RNH I hope cbj goes hard for Danault

you played none of their youth. Not happening. They got young guys who are looking like studs to come in.

texier, foudy, roslovic, robinson and peeke arent here?

bemstrom is struggling currently so i have him in the A, marchenko/voronkov will likely still be in russia, and chinakhov wont be ready yet most likely.

the russians are coming. This is a team that plays guys at 19. Lets be honest, the team is thin without them. They are coming next year. You can almost bet on it. Both Krill and Yegor.

kirill is already in contract with SKA through the 21-22 season and Yegor was offered a 3 year contract over there. even if he denies it, he isnt going to be NHL ready yet. seems like a bad bet lol

lol you really think Kirill is going to break his contract to come here? and a team with an abundance of wingers will let Yegor, who has plenty of thinks to work on, skip over someone like Foudy in the depth chart? do you have some sort of inside knowledge here haha

Like I said, this team plays guys at 19.
PLD, Foudy, Tex......
They aren't holding back.
where there is a will there is away. And they have the will.

Krill is not coming next year. He will finish out his current contract. Now Chinakov...maybe. He has the ability to play here and I think starting in the AHL for him next year would be the right move.

Sorry, but age has nothing to do with why guys play or do not in Columbus. You’re assuming they will play a 19 or 20 year old just because they have before, which is just astonishingly weak logic. Marchenko is 99.9% not breaking contract, and Chinakov and Voronkov likely won’t be ready next year.

your view of what "ready" is and the truth are two different things.
People said the same **** last season about Foudy....oh he won't play he's not ready...and Tex....and yet here we are.
As for his contract, maybe he breaks it, maybe he doesn't, maybe there are loopholes in it. You don't know, I don't know.
As I said. Wait and see.
I can tell you right now, he'd rather play in the NHL than the KHL. There is no question about that. He knows where the money is.

Hey if they are ready then I say play them, but you said they’ll play because they’ve played 19 year olds before, and that is a horrible reason.

I would love it if Marchenko gets bought out or whatever but it just doesn’t happen often and CBJ are among the poorest teams in the league. They had tight margins before COVID, now with a fraction of typical revenue they are obviously trying to keep costs down however possible and it’s even less likely than usual that they buy out a guy’s KHL deal.

Like I said we don't know what that contract is. I'm not going to speculate.
Ready is a lose term here. Teams don't hold guys back based on ready, most of the time they do it based on age. There are a lot of younger guys who are "ready" who don't get to play and a large part of it is age based. But this team has no problem with the age issue. They simply play them. Where other teams will sit guys because of their age.
Take McMichae in WSH, he only got to play because of injury. He's not going to be any more ready next year than this year. But they would have sat him.
Take Poulin for the penguins. There is no reason other than his age to hold him back. It's not like he's going to magically improve over one year. These guys are what they are and it is why the league is getting younger. Teams are playing guys earlier instead of .....not ready.
At 19 you either know how to skate and shoot a puck or you don't and playing with people of half your talent isn't going to make you any better. Which is why CBJ plays their guys young. They will be given every shot to compete for a spot and that's the point and they are good enough to fill it. No one is sitting here saying Krill wouldn't make CBJ. We know that's not true. He would.

Hey man, those KHL contracts are about as iron clad as it gets. He will not be getting out of it. That is why Chinakov is so interesting. We know he isn’t exactly ready now but in another year and a half he very well may be.

Iron clad? Malkin picked his stuff up during an away game and went right to the NHL........
If guys want to play, they can. Believe me. If there is a will there is a way. Like I said, he knows where the money is, and it isn't in the KHL.
