A first for Strome would take gunpoint

Especially because it'll be a top ~5 pick

I would rather keep strome tbh. Assuming you meant we get a late first and an ok prospect, because San Jose isn’t giving a top 5 pick

Sharks don't look horrible, but still too much. I rather get a winger back or something. It's tough to trade for futures right now because the hawks seemingly have so many. Barratt, Kurashev, Mitchell, Beaudin, Regula, Vlasic. What do they target? A goalie?

NSH declines. That's too much for Janmark, they don't have room for him, and at the moment it doesn't look like they'll be deadline buyers anyway.

it's for anyteam but if he keeps playing how he is now, he's definitely worth a 2nd from a playoff team

Yeah, Sharks aren't giving up a top 6 or 7 pick in the draft. Because this draft is not deep, I wouldn't trade Strome for a mid or late 1st, it is unrealistic to think a mid or late 1st will end up being a better player then Strome is at age 23.

IDK I think the Sharks will be contending against Minnesota for the last playoff spot around the TDL, so the pick could be conditional

That's a poor judgement call on Strome's worth. If you wouldn't take Strome for the 29th pick, then that is simply insane. I would trade Strome for anything less then a top 10 pick. Picks are the most consistently overrated thing by folks on here and some fans in general. A first round pick has a 33% of being a full-time NHL player. Obviously that is higher if a top 10 and lower if a bottom 10 but the average is 33%. Strome's a .76ppg 23 year 2C...good luck getting that outside of a top 10 pick and even then it's a gamble

Strome blows. Hes just like his brother, poor skater with no defense. His offense is all he has. If he is your 2C your team is not good (ie chicago)

Strome is not as poor of skater as his Brother but defensively they both aren't good. That said, Laine, Kane, and numerous others are poor defensively so that alone is a bad measuring stick. If you think Strome isn't worth a top 20 pick, well I have ocean front property in Iowa to sell you

don't count on the penguins picking up a 35 year old player any time soon.

Nashville looks like it'll be competing with you for the bottom. So no deal.
