yikes Aside from the obvious fact that Sanderson is more valuable than Peterka, is Logan Brown more of a cap dump than Jeff Skinner.

Not really. They’re asking for an elite prospect for arguably the worst contact in the entire league, it would take a major overpayment on Buffalo’s part to get a Sanderson/Skinner swap to happen. And L Brown is more valuable than Peterka as well. You could add like 6 1sts instead I suppose.

I see zero proof Sanderson is a better prospect than Peterka - he was picked higher in the draft but draft mistakes happen all the time.

This is laughable. Peterka was solid but his line was clearly driven by Stuetzle. Sanderson basically singlehandedly won the gold medal game against a stacked Canadian squad. To imply that Peterka is the better prospect, or even close to Sanderson in value, is foolish.

I would have said Knight, Zegras and Turcotte won the gold medal game - Sanderson played well but I don't think he played much better than Ryan Johnson or Cam York

Knight wasn’t tested at all until the 3rd because of the defensive effort put on by his teammates, led by Sanderson, and even then there wasn’t really any threatening chances. Sanderson’s hit directly led to the Zegras goal that deflated the Canadians early in the 2nd. Zegras was phenomenal as usual, but he didn’t exactly score 6 times, the Americans won because of their defense, not offense. Turcotte was fine but if I’m being honest I wasn’t too impressed with him overall, I think he was carried by Zegras more than anything. Sanderson was definitely the best player in the gold medal game, and most important as well, and I don’t think it was particularly close.
