I think you're over valuing Foudy and Carlsson, based on the fact they were both 1st round picks, once upon a time. I'd take a flyer on Foudy for a 4th, but neither CBJ guy is worth Grimaldi or a 2nd. NSH is giving up the two best assets here, and then adding to that for some reason.

How do you figure? Foudy's speed is great, but that's all he's got. He looks to be a bottom six energy type. In draft capital that's worth a 3rd to a team in need of that, a 4th to a team that doesn't. Carlsson is a 7th defenseman at best, but better suited to the AHL.

Oh my lanta...your talent evaluation skills make me think that you must be playing too much Nhl 21 tears of joy

-20 year old, former 1st round pick...Yup, he's a bust.
-27 year old bottom 6 forward with a career high 31 points....GIMMMEEEEE 83 FIRST ROUND PICKS FOR HIM!!!!

The only one that you're even close on is Carlsson, who's 24 and still has some upside. If Nashville declined that offer, it'd be time to fire everyone in management.

I think your reading comprehension skills are of a far greater concern than my talent evaluation skills. None of this accurately reflects anything I've said.

Maybe one day Foudy can be what Grimaldi currently is - a solid 3rd liner that can fill in on the 2nd line for short spells, but he's not there yet. He's not a bust, but definitely got drafted too high. I'd rather gamble on getting a higher ceiling player with that 2nd. Rocco's been a good fit in NSH - one of the few who shows up every game. No need to think about trading him, until the team commits to a rebuild. NSH has quantity when it comes to LD prospects and most of them have more upside than Carlsson - he'd never get a chance there.

I’m pretty sure this is in NHL21, where you accept all trades that are proposed to you. So no, they’re not trying to troll.

Ouuuu, tell me more about the LD prospects that Nashville have! Brandon Fortunato had a great year in the ECHL last year! You're right...there's definitely quantity in that system tears of joy

I guess I'm just really confused as to your evaluation of Foudy, and why you think that you're going to get someone better with a mid 2nd round pick. Guy is extremely skilled, quick, and plays center reasonably well. The only downside is that he's not great in his own end yet (Sounds like most 20 year old top prospects). As for Rocco? Guy is the prototypical bottom 6 forward that every, single, f*cking, team in the league has. What do people love him? Because he's little and plays hard!

Fortunato's the example you're going to cherry pick? Really? What, CBJ doesn't have ECHL players in their system? How about Farrance, Davies, Chistyakov, Carrier, or Wilsby? They all have more potential than Carlsson. Kylington is a better defenseman than Carlsson, and no one claimed him off waivers recently. Carlsson doesn't have any trade value, and where would NSH even put him, without an AHL team of their own this season?

As I said previously, I love Foudy's speed. It's his hands, and vision I question. Reminds me of watching Iain Duncan when I was a kid. I guess if NSH was going to do a full rebuild something around Foudy for Grimaldi could work, just for the sake of getting younger, but I'd rather trade Grimaldi for picks in that case. As for getting someone better than Foudy with a 2nd, I'd absolutely take that chance. If you want to use NSH two most recent 2nd round picks as examples (Evangelista and Afanasyev), I wouldn't swap either of them straight up for Foudy.

If you value your prospects more than I do - great, keep them. Don't get mad at me for declining the trade, get mad at the OP for making a proposal you don't like either.
