NJ would take that before giving Toronto even a moment to rethink what they just offered.

The Leafs do not lose anything heavily in this trade, and we get a top 9 forward, with term, who can play up and down the lineup, and fits into what the Leafs are looking for.

The Leafs are in win now mode, not worrying about the future for now. The Leafs also admitted to cup or bust for this season with their new series, exclusively on Amazon

Oh ... with out a doubt In my mind ... its not even close. Just one man's opinion, but I've watched both play for a number of years now.

Coleman woefully underpaid, he's a very valuable piece.

Good Luck with that ... usually the time regretful trades are made. BUT, if they get the Cup, so be it.

Putting aside his start this season, Wood is the kind of guy other team's fans like, because for one or two games, yeah, he seems a great piece to have (Big, fast, major pest), but the more you watch of him over the course of a season, the boneheaded plays & long periods of disappearance build up. Now, that's not been the case this year, but its early. Maybe Ruff got to him or maybe its just a matter of time until the real Miles Wood returns. Will be fun to watch

The usual awful trade for the Leafs as suggested. Leafs can't afford the cap. A thirty point winger (for82 game season) costs a 1st, 2nd and roster forward, a severe overpay. Heck similar stats UFA Vesey cost 900,000 and better stats last season Mikheyev cost 1.6m. as opposed to. the middling Wood at 2.7m
Why does this Montreal fan continue to try to ruin the Leafs?

Wood finally got a coach! Granted he's not Coleman for sure, but if Wood keeps it up I see him as a less talented Tom Wilson (less ****ty though). They have him believing in himself, you cant deny his speed. They are parking him in front of the net where he can pick up scraps. If he had hands OMG! He wont command what Coleman got, and he's the only thing I have seen with some toughness. If he keeps lighting it up (for miles wood) and you get a stupid offer you consider it. I don't see a 1st for him until he continues, hers hoping he does!

breaking news: team gets a behind the scenes TV show and says they want to win the championship. Couldn't have seen that coming.

I'm rooting for him ... like you said, NJ doesn't have much toughness up front ... sure Palms, McLeod, Bastian give some grit, but they aren't going toe to toe with an enforcer who is roughing up Hughes or Nico etc

Considering that their new series is called "All or Nothing", there seems to be a implicit hint of a cup or bust season

No one is trading for Pierre Engvall as the big piece, and there is no way the Devils are trading Woods for an AHLer (Engvall)

engvall would not be in the ahl on the devils, leafs have better forward depth, even if it is a question the first isnt close and the prospect is too much, TROLL

what team isn't saying "all or nothing"? Of course they will be disappointed if they don't win. Every team that thinks they have a shot this year is "all or nothing" doesn't mean they will collapse the future of the team entirely for a 3rd/4th liner

I doubt the Devils have much interest in Engvall or Hallander consider the young forward talent they have in the pipeline.
