LAFRENIERE IS A BUST!!!!

(Sarcasm)

But seriously-Why the heck didn't they let him go to the world juniors to get some actual games in before the season started? March to January is a long time between any sort of actual competitive action.

KIRBY DACH is why.... Laf has already been the MVP of the junoirs, no need to send him there with the risk of injury and really nothing left to prove at that level

I see both the points here...I know its frustrating, but we've been spoiled with great veteran teams in NY. This team is fun, Laf is going to be a star. He's shown flashes but hasn't been getting the points. This team will be juggernaut for a long time once the kids come along. Only a matter of time before Laf starts burying some

Completely fair, I mean there's plenty of stories like Dach for sure. I guess it just depends on risk evaluation...do you want your star prospect to start playing competitively against grown @ss men, or do you want him to actually have a pre-season type scenario (Juniors) so that you can at least have him game ready by the time the season starts?

End of the day, I assume he'll heat up after 10-15 games anyway, so it's not really a big deal.

Ya, I personally think I would send him too. But I'm pretty sure what I said was their thoughts when making the decision. He looks good and just needs to shoot more. Once the first falls Im thinking he gets a bunch more
