Description
MIN trade is based on MIN seeing they could actually push to become a very good team now but they have some vets so they need to move quickly. They desperately need top 6Cs and Kuz would thrive with Kap. Caps take back a bad contract as well. MIN probably has to throw in a pick here but just wanted to get a base down.

NYI should be excited to get anything for Ho-Sang.

Omg no. That man trade is awful. The wild would take kuznetzov but 0% chance you’d get rossi in the deal. You want rask and the later of their 1sts that would work, but that’s a hard no.

LOL Kuz is worth way more than a late 1st and cap dump.

Kuznetsov seems like the type of player Guerin would not be interested in. Guerin has preached competitiveness and guys giving their all on a nightly basis and that is not Kuznetsov. Don't think we'd give up Rossi for him regardless

no team is touching that Oshie trade without a huge sweetener.
He's gonna be 35 next season with 4 years left at almost 6 mil per.
The dude already walking around blinking all the time with CTE.
Contract is a time bomb to be dead weight.

6 points in 6 games to start the season. We'll see how he does this season but even at the end of his career he'll be a good middle player like Justin Wililams. Doesn't need speed with his skill and smarts. Will he be worth $5.75M those last couple years? Probably not but could see a team who thinks they are ready for a Cup and need leadership make a trade for him. Wouldn't be surprised if the Seattle takes the Seattle native in the expansion to be their Captain. We'll see but even they can't move him there's plenty of room in the cap to keep him.

no one is touching that contract. WSH is as much a cup contender as anyone, if they are shedding it, no one else is picking it up.
Much like Chara leaving boston, when the old team is out it's a red flag to everyone else. Which is why you see threads on here about benching Chara.
He's really old as a player. There is no getting around that. That contract is an anchor. Trying to say he's justin williams isn't realistic.

I don't think WSH wants to keep that contract long term. It wouldn't surprise me if the end of this year or next they are trying to move it.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they see if Seattle takes him, maybe pay a small price to do it, just can't see them spending good assets to move him. We'll see.
