For the 3rd pair RD spot, not really sure who exactly would take the spot. I really hope it would be anyone that isn't named Jack Johnson.

Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Guhle, Kaiden
  2. 2021 4th round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Thoughts on the return?
MTL
  1. Deangelo, Anthony
Additional Details:
They need to get rid of him ASAP in my opinion. He doesn't really have a spot long term and is a problem off the ice as well. Hard to gage his value because of that, but this felt about right to me.
2.
NYR
  1. Beckman, Adam
  2. 2021 4th round pick (MIN)
MIN
  1. Strome, Ryan
Additional Details:
Again hard to gage the value, but it's hard to see him staying for more than a year anyway. Just a matter of whether they choose to trade him or keep him as expansion bait

Honestly think he made himself to public with his political views, Deangelo will be a tough one to trade away even with his high offensive skill level.

I'd rather see what Beckman turns into. Don't think Strome will but the same player here as he is in NYR. Plus we can't take on that cap

So Montreal trades their most recent 1st round pick + for a RHD that will play 3rd pairing an has off ice issues! LOL, yeah right! And the Rangers send Lafreniere home for Weal.

just because you dont like a player's social media account doesnt mean the team is better without him in the lineup.

You traded away 2 players that were important to the teams success last season for... nothing that helps them now.

Easy no from Minnesota. Minnesota isn't trading a draft pick or prospect such as Adam Beckman for Ryan strome who had one good season. So easy no from Minnesota @BossManJeff

I think Fox stepped into DeAngelo's spot on the PP1 pretty seamlessly, he's easily been their best dman so far. As good as DeAngelo is offensively he is a nightmare in his own zone. Off the ice, he has shown that he is a distraction. Strome meanwhile has regressed since last year and Chytil looked like he was about to really step it up right before he got hurt. It would make sense for them to keep him now I guess but it's not like he's gonna stick around long term.

Understandable, just seems like you guys are thin down the middle. Beckman seemed about right for a decent 2C.

I'm sorry but that's a no from Minnesota. For what it's worth, I wouldn't trade Beckman for Strome straight up. That's not because of what Strome is but because we're "rebuilding" and Beckman is one of our top prospects. Strome would definitely help us out this year but we're not a true contender this year (at least I don't think so. Trying not to get my hopes up from this good start). Therefore I wouldn't want to trade one of our top prospects for someone who I consider a decent, but not good, center.

How can someone regress when the season is less than 2 weeks old?

Wild pass simply because Strome would be exposed in the expansion draft in a couple of month for them.
