Why would the Devils trade Nico for that?

That’ll be an easy no from the wild. Can’t picture them revisiting nino with their current development plan. Plus I don’t think they’d be adding a 2nd between Hartman and nino. Not with the cap hit being this and next year, I would expect a pick going to the wild boy the canes.

No on all of these from other teams. Moving Staal isn’t happening.

NJ has publicly declared they are building their team around Hischier (& Hughes), it would have to be a ridiculous overpay to get him out of there ... as in Pete Chiarelli-esque.

Alright easy. I didn't like Holland towards the end too because he was terrible with signings but the man could make some sweet trades... except for the quincey one.

The point is the Red Wings are a rebuilding team stock piling draft picks. Why would Yzerman trade Joe Veleno and a 2nd round pick for Jordan Staal? It makes zero sense for Detroit. Red Wings aren't a win now team.

I wouldn’t mind Staal in Detroit but not at the expense of Veleno.

Ok why would a rebuilding team take on a 32 year old player who has 3 years at over 6 million for a 2nd and a 20 year old 1st round pick?

Not to be mean but HELL NO

Some of those signings would've been ok if they didn't have NTC's. Some of the questionable moves toward the end of his tenure in Detroit looked like home run swings.
