Doubt if Jets do the trade, but I don't understand why the Leafs need a forward, when they would lose a top 6 Dman. Just hoping that Lehtonen is good enough now, and in case of injury relying on Sandin too.

Jets could possibly need a rhd, but preferably someone exempt from expansion and possibly for a longterm plan. Obviously depends on record and playoff chances also

Well... With Scheifele, Dubois, Stastny, you have a solid centre line. I could see the incentive for this trade. Plus, Lowry is UFA and Dermott RFA. Not a bad trade proposal.
