Ya Red Wings have a good goalie tandem with Greiss and Bernier. These pieces don't break that tandem. Add picks.

Wings pass, neither player helps. It will cost a decent prospect like rodrigue or samo or a 3rd at this point

Sure bernier can be had but that's not what Detroit wants. Maybe just a pick would be a better offer.

Neither of those players do anything for Detroit. Bernier for a 3rd would probably work though.

Detroit hasn't had too many highlights this season but the Goaltending Tandem has actually been quite good thus far. Not very interested in dropping Bernier for an overpaid 4th liner and a very average prospect who'll likely not be a regular NHL'er. Draft picks is about the only thing Edmonton could offer Detroit.
