Description

These trade are made to liberate some space on the cap, yess putting kk,romanov and suzuki ont the taxi squad makes you save money to call guys like perry when injury happens but dont forget that these young players have bonuses and if they aren't pay this year, its apply on the cap next year.

I think you need both Danault and Tatar for a Stanley cup and the core now can convince us it is achievable now (once you are in playoffs, everything is possible) , If we don’t win a cup after these 2 years, for sure you’ll have to make some move on the wings to resign Suzuki and Romanov. Depending of the contribution they have on the team, guys like Drouin, tatar, Anderson, toffoli, Byron or lehkonen could be trade for younger guys with less cap hit but they wont be contender for sure if they loose those guys. Maybe it will be the time to trade price/weber after these 2 years tho.

So, just giving Mete away basically? He could easily fetch a second, even more considering the current need for D in the league.

What's your thinking on the Los Angeles trade? I don't like to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I thought Brook was/is a better prospect than Durzi.

His trade value plummeted after he had mixed reviews in the AHL, Durzi on the otherhand is eating top minutes with bjornfot and not too far off. Kings decline.

Of course, as the result of a trade, I'd love to see Durzi turn out to be a top-4 defender.

No need to trade Mete and have him replace by Ouellet. Keep and resign Mete until we get a new prospect (Harris ? Fairbrother ? Northlinder ? Struble ? etc) in the lineup.

Arnia and Weal will walk away anyway. No need to give draft picks. Vejdemo or Poehling could play on left wing on the foruth line. Or maybe a UFA like Frolik coming back. I don't like your trades but I like the team you propose for next year.

isnt armia ufa at the end of the year? why would the canucks give away one of their best bottom 6 contracts by value for ufa rights (worth what... a 7th?) and a 3rd?
