If Buffalo misses the playoffs again and Hall leaves. I guarantee you Eichel is requesting one

if your gonna trade Eichel you might as well take as much as possible... Eichel is arguably a top 6 overall player in the league. I'd do, Tomasino, Tolvanen, 2021 first, 2022 2nd, 2023 3rd for Eichel. I don't cheer for either of these teams so that's coming from an unbiased perspective. Sabres get two prospects and 3 draft picks for and Nashville gets a superstar to put with Duchane. I like the teams you chose to involve in the trade, lots of options for both teams.

Buffalo is a mess. With the names on their PP they should be top 5. I know it's better this (early) season than last season. But he doesn't look happy and they look unorganized. i don't think it's dismissive.

Huh? Nashville is giving up a lot here. I'm sure there could be a little more but those are small details at this point.

To be honest, i dont think thats enough. Tomasino seems like a nice prospect, but Tolvanen really hasnt show much at the NHL/AHL level at this point. I would assume BUF would want a solid young roster player coming back as well

I'd drive 4 hours to Kellogg Blvd and run naked down the street with tears in my eyes if that happened but I feel like other teams would make better offers

They'd have to take a roster player or two in an Eichel trade. Who could add his $10M to their team, without moving some salary out?

I could see the Rangers too but I not sure what they have to offer? Not a lot of active player they would want to trade.

For Eichel I can't imagine much would be off the table

Honestly, the rangers and sens probably have the most young high end talent in quantity. If the rags actual offers look anything like their fans offers, im pulling for minnesota.

If they wanna offer lafreniere, fox, and a couple firsts, weve got a ball game. Usually they are solid offers built around ryan strome and anthony deangelo with maybe a georgiev thrown in. Players like eichel are almost never moved, not with his talent/age/contract status, so its tough to say what the return would be, but im willing to bet it wont be a low ball crap offer. Too many teams should be all in.

I just don't think we have the assets to get a deal done unless we landed a top 3 lottery pick this year. Even then I'm still not sure. Rangers seem like an obvious fit given their talented young players and the fact they were rumored to be interested last fall. I could also see LA, Montreal, Carolina, and maybe even Detroit, Tampa if they can unload cap, and Colorado. We desperately need a player like Eichel but I just don't see us having what it takes.

Ya mean, like, has he actually said anything? I dont think hes said anything except the "sick of losing" stuff from the end of last season. Our new gm indicated that teams called over the summer, but the sabres are planning on keeping eichel.

Yes that is exactly what I meant. You really can't go back to that any more. In response the Sabers gutted their coaching staff and signed Hall.
