I don't think it solves anything. Mete supposedly wants out because we have a logjam on LD and took for granted his spot. Robert Hagg would have to sit too, but is twice as expensive.

Fair enough, I'm not really informed with what's going on in this whole situation which is why I was hoping for an explanation like this. Who out of the Flyers would it cost? Plus Mete's contract is cheaper now, but how much does he demand next year? I'd think more than Hagg, no?

You have Zamula and York who could make the jump as soon as next year, the same situation could repeat itself. Tbh I don't think the Flyers are a fit

Was hoping at least one of those guys would get a chance this year, just as our third pairing of Hagg/Braun/Gus has been a death trap for Philly so far. Braun I like, since he is a defence-first guy, but Hagg is essentially a less-experienced Braun and Gus is a Ghost 2.0 but much worse, especially with giveaways. I know Fletcher inquired on Mete and Dunn so I'm thinking he's looking for a short-term fix to the defence for this year?

Yea, as previously stated above, I don't think Philly and Mete is a good fit. Mtl would want either a low-level future prospect or some way to save on cap space (ie getting rid of Byron). And I don't see any of that working.
