I like it, but I think they need to trade Merkley for another prospect or NHL player. That kid is a problem and the last thing the Sharks need are two offensive dmen on the right side top 4 again.

I've been following your posts on here and I think you'd be a great addition to the GM Game here on CapFriendly. The game is basically a season long Arm-Chair team where you get to make trades, draft, etc. and we have a formal scoring system for playoffs. If you are interested and want to know more, just quote and reply to this post and I'll answer any questions you've got. We've got some openings for assistant GMs that would involve you helping GMs by offering input on all aspects of the game.

Gotta say it's refreshing to see posts like this where I actually like all the trades/draft picks/roster moves.

With Vlasic and Burns out of the picture there's nothing to be concerned about but we'll have to pay big time to dump Vlasic somewhere. A solution to the goalie dilemma would be ideal as well but all else is solid af. Still don't know how to feel about trading Hertl though.

I think bringing a backup like Halak or Greiss in could be better than Dubnyk

On the Sharks ACGMs I've done recently, I signed Ullmark and Halak via FA. Dumping Jones to Seattle 50% retained.

I did all of that except trade Hertl and Couture. I made a solid team and Sharks fans still hated it and it was actually pretty good. It's because I'm a Kings fan lol

Being from Northern California and seeing the Kings play the Sharks in San Jose, you would be surprised how much the Sharks fans there know nothing about hockey.

The Sharks fans on here don't seem to be like that, but they never agree on a tear down or a retool so I wanted to pick his brain to see what he thinks they should do.

Sharks are drafting a defenseman, we only picked forwards last draft intentionally. The only forward we'd take at 5 is Berniers, who won't be there at 5. Therefore, one of: Clarke, Power, Lambos, Hughes would be ours. Not sure the Kane trade would happen with the NTC and the Stars long term cap situation

Burns could possibly be picked by Seattle.

If the Sharks don't do anything stupid cap wise they could probably afford to keep Vlasic as a scratch or bury him then buy him out with 2 or 3 years left or trade him with 2M retention for a 1st as compensation in 2 or 3 years.

Wild pass on that trade. We need centers. We are already pretty strong on the wing. It's not worth it to give two very valuable assets for a guy who'd play in the 2nd line for us. We would get an elite center with that package. Plus Billy G won't trade the PIT pick, you'd have to settle to the lower one.

Hertl is literally a top line center better than any C you have or have coming.

Hertl is literally a top line center better than any C you have or have coming.

I thought he was a winger, no?

That last statement is ridiculous btw. Rossi will easily be better than Hertl, but let's not get into that...
