The real question is... would Kadri have learned that it's important to not get suspended when your team needs you most?

He learned that lesson very quickly in Colorado.

not available. Avs have nobody to take his role as 2C and the leafs dont have anyone they could trade to COL to fill that role either

A massive overpay is what it would require. The Avs are weak at C, have no ready made replacement and MacK is out injured. So whatever you're trading will need to be able to bring them back a replacement at the very least. TOR doesn't have the parts themselves to do it, so hence it will be an overpay.
