To be fair no one took him for free, so there's no realism in gaining a fair deal for Deangelo.

They're not getting a good deal. They'll have to settle for the least bad offer they get. If they get any, that is.

it's bad simply because no one should be trading for that POS, he should be out of the league for good.

Only 5 teams could afford him for “free”. With a trade and cap retained they’ll have people to take him it won’t be good but at least it’ll be a trade

Well that doesn't really make a lot of sense, the receiving team must not have the cap space or wants retention. Otherwise they would have just taken him for free

I retained $1 million on this trade but I'm sure it'd have to be more.

Well considering the team taking him in would voluntarily take in a locker room cancer, so the benefits for taking that contract should be immensely high.

Naturally it means the deal will most likely be terrible for NYR value-wise in a vacuum.

Thinking Neal for Deangelo -terrible

Why...because he complained about being scratched? Little harsh, no?

If someone offers him a spot to play, he should be allowed to play.

that and he, you know, literally fought his goalie over an OT loss, and has been a PR nightmare (and I'm not talking anything political here)

He clearly has had some issues...and every team has a right NOT to play him. My point was...if a team wants him, he shouldn't be denied the right to play.

With the original deal...Mete is in line-up tonight, so maybe not Mete?

No, I get it... I have seen/read/heard all about his history. I am just allergic to pitchfork/mob pile-ups...especially when they have the story wrong.

Nope, I'm just speculating on who could be the trade partner.

yeah, the guy has a history of being a giant racist, homophobic headcase conspiracy nut , has been traded twice in the NHL already because he refuses to try and become a better person and is now about to be traded again (if some team will even take a risk on him) because he fought his goalie and got punched out. You seem to be allergic to something that rhymes with Ruth.

Okay so it came from ton’ys agent saying they’re working for something. I believe that. I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

I have been consistent in saying we should wait for the truth. Many wanted him banned yesterday and today for racial abuse of Miller, which turns out was *not true*

So, no troubles with truth here
