I wouldn't consider Arvidsson or Ellis untouchable. I'd listen to offers on them too.

I honestly don't even know if there are any untouchables -- maybe only Josi at this point because Poile won't want to trade his Norris winner after just resigning him.

I don't see NSH trading Ekholm for another defenseman that needs expansion protection.



The 1st and Johnson is a fine start, but the rest of it isn't of much interest.

If wonder if there is any way NSH could trade some of their assets to VGK (no need to worry about the expansion draft for them) and target players like Krebs, Glass, Hague, Elvense, etc. VGK tends to value immediate success over prospects, so...

Maybe even including Rinne if he thinks it's his last year and decides he wants to go chase a cup. Ekholm + Haula + Rinne (would need to be some retention on NSH's side most likely for it to work) for Krebs + Hague + Fleury + picks or something. That move would help solidify VGK's top 4 defense, strengthen their center ice with a player that they know has succeeded in Vegas in the past, and give them a good vet goalie to play being Lehner at a cheaper cap hit (retained) than Fleury.

Agree with this. I almost put Ellis and Arvi on the list, Cousins too. At this point, I want picks and prospects. Restock the prospect pool with people chasing the short season cup, and play the young guys in 21-22.
