Yeah because what contender wouldn't want an over-the-hill goalie making $10.5m? And giving away two 1st round picks for that pleasure no less. SMH

Colorado wants nothing to do with his contract espically when they have to resign Nathan MacKinnon and Makar in a few years

They are? MacKinnon is at worst the 3D best player in the NHL even cashing in, and evidently guys like Byram, Newhook, Barron and Helleson are going to suck too.

And Sakic will get them on team friendly deals, Mack being a top 3 player in the league probily takes less than prices terrible contract

Edmonton won't need a LD in 2 years. They'd pay dearly for one right now though.

Obviously not. These guys are legit good prospects rn. They should a big part of the etam in the future like a bit what Tampa did a few years ago.

As for you there are absolutely no reason why they would do it c'mon. I know they're rn probably the best team in terms of balance and skill but why would they signed team friendly deals? They didn't won anything like Tamap did and weren't even close like Vegas did. We're talking about their jobs and their future in terms of finance. Of course they'll want to cash in. Would you take a 15% paycut in a pretty big/rich company to only let them spend more? It makes no sense...

Mckinnon has already said publicly he is willing to take less than market value if it helps the team win.

If you compare Mikko and Mitch, it has already happened a few mil can go a long way

Grubauer has been lights out to start the season so we don't need a new starter.

      7-2-0 record

0.934 sv% (5th in the league, or 2nd among goalies with more than 4 starts)

1.67 GAA (3rd in the league, or 1st among goalies with more than 3 starts)

      6.91 GSAA (2nd)

0.873 HDSV% (5th among goalies with more than 4 starts)

On the PK he's been especially good:

      0.957 sv% (6th)

0.938 HDSV% (3rd among goalies with more than 4 starts)

      4.72 GSAA (1st. Gibson in a distant 2nd place with 3.15)

Do you actually think it would be a good idea for Colorado to trade two 1st round picks for a 36 year old goalie making $10.5m, in the same offseason when they have to give big raises to Mackinnon and Byram?
