Mete out

Created by: yanleg96
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 2, 2021
Published: Feb. 2, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
id like to keep danault next year because he's a good defensive center. However, he's not playing really well right night and he should have signed the 5.5m@6y he was offered because he wont get that on a winning team at ufa market and mtl couldn't afford that with last signatures, i do think we need him to be contenders and be sucessful.

Id make him an offer of 4m@2y. This help him win a cup in mtl taking a discount and he'll be 29 yo for his last contract, hopefully his big one. Sadly if he dont want to know anything about it you should considerate a trade at trade deadline for a good defensive center. The goal here isnt to have any other retrun because if you trade him you create a hole in your lineup but you want to capitalize on the asset and dont loose him for free at the end of the season. If you arent able to find anything, i think it fair enough to keep him and try for the cup this year.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like mete at all. Like the guy skate well and have a good transition but he loose his 1vs1 battle and as a défenseman you should put yourself more in a physical way. I don’t say that he’s a bad player but he can’t score and put points and he’s not too great defensively. I strongly think he should be à forward seeing the way he plays. Zub seems to be more physical and better defensively.

Danault will walk away at the end of the season. It is Danault or Tatar. Tatar is more productive and Evans is NHL ready to take the Danault place. It is the way it is with salary cap.

You forgot the first going to MTL in that Mete trade, right...? And I'd easily give Danault 7milx5 or 6 years as a UFA... and you actually want Nate Thompson...? Please take him lol, he's not good at all

I don't like Mete. Same reasons. He loses his man in front of his net all the time, can't take away opponent's stick, shots get by him too easily (yesterday's prime example)...
