Outside of Mikheyev, Toronto doesnt have anything of interest to Calgary that would be considered remotely in Bennett's price range

I'm sure free agents will be super psyched to sign with toronto after you go ahead and trade them after 9 games.

Well you won't be impressed Bennett. And certainly trading a needed Dman for an unneeded plug doesn't help the Leafs.

This would be absolutely horrible optics for potential future Euro-Free Agents.

I get that. Either of them are playing though. Other than Mikehev who has been a good euro free agent for them thats on the team now.
They are a free agent playing in Europe for a reason, which means they are a 3rd to 4th liner or a 5-7 D man

Again, the Euro Free agent market is not strong anyways.
I just put two guys in there, as they are not playing anyways. Not sue what it would take to get Bennettt, as I think him on the third line with Kerfoot and Simmonds would be great.
Sandin needs to get some game time action, and Dermott has looked good so far.
