If we ever see a World Cup or Olympics again with NHL'ers, Canada is going to have a hard time beating the US. I say this as a loyal Canadian.

Guentzel over Debrincat. JT Miller should be 4C. McAvoy over Petry easily. DeBrincat over Wheeler on 3RW.

I love the rivalry. World Juniors and Olympics but Canada next year is STACKED beyond belief.

Took Jones due to team fit.
Agree that Guentzel, and Pacioretty deserve it, but needed another Center so took Hughes. Plus Hughes is beginning to fall into the Team USA Sweetheart where he is a highly marketable player, and gets picked for a bunch of Team USA teams (i.e. NTDP, World Juniors as an under ager, and a World Championship Team in his Draft Year.

Hughes is going to be in the top 6/9 by 2022 I think.

Guentzel should be here for Hughes easily. He's not there yet. DeBrincat isn't on first line on this team. Swap him with Johnny Hockey. McAvoy would play in this scenario. Also, there is a better goalie out there than a backup in Demko. Also, swap Paccioretty for Hayes.

I'm sorry but I don't think Hughes will get up there. You can tell if someone has potential and he does have it but not 1st overall pick potential. I don't think any of the top 3 picks in the 2019 draft will be higher than an 88 in NHL21.

I simply chose Jones over Fox due to team fit.
Needed to keep another center over Guentzel and Pacioretty so I kept Hughes. Plus Team USA is known for taking their "Sweethearts" and Hughes seems to be one of those. Agree that Guentzel or Pacioretty deserve it but needed a center.

Felt like Debrincat is a better team fit, but I see what your saying. Miller as a 4C is something I didn't think of, but he hasn't played C in many years. Petry seemed like a better fit for that spot. If Guenzel makes the team I agree with that Debrincat takes wheelers spot.

Not over Larkin yet, and Hayes is a better fit on the 4th.

Hughes was taken due to Marketability, and need for a Center. Play Debrincat with Kane. Felt like Petry is a better fit on the bottom pairing. Demko is the 3rd goalie behind Hellebuyck and Gibson. Pacioretty would have made the team if it weren't for lack of Centers, so Hayes was needed to fill the need for Centers.

You haven't watched hockey in a while but thats fine, hey suggestions would be to watch Hughes play and check it out, Dach was top 3 and when he comes back I think he should become an 88 level as well. Not sure about Kakko but whatever he is on a sucky team.

Not over Larkin yet, and Hayes is a better fit on the 4th.

Not yet but when the olympics happen key thing in your title there he will be alot better than Hayes and a better fit even on the wing than most so. Idk I'd take him over guys like Wheeler Hayes and Boeser. Matthew Tkachuck is a top line talent and we don't really need a power forward line. Second line should be Brady Eichel Matthew.

When you have a team with this much talent, highly skilled players are going to be asked to play different roles, and in this case I see the Tkachuk's filling the role of energy players better than players like Gaudreau, Boeser etc. Simply felt they fit better in those roles and other players fit better in other roles.

Hayes fit better in the role of 4th line center than Hughes, and I don't think Hughes will be better than Larkin at that point. It's only a year away.

How does Jones fits the team more than Fox? Fine if it's a position thing but then Pacioretty/Guentzel over Brady Tkachuk. No issue with Hughes, I think he has a chance and could be an extra player.

I don't see Fox fitting on the PK
PK D Pairings:
Werenski - Jones
Slavin - Petry/ McAvoy (Whichever is playing)
That's where I saw team fit come into play

I think Pacioretty could play in Brady's spot but not Guentzel. Need a high skill player to adjust into an energy role and I don't see Guentzel playing that role as well as Brady. Pacioretty is a possibility. I see Hughes as an extra.

Kakko will not turn into anything close to Dach or Hughes. I'm a Hawks fan and I watched all of their games last season and the Olympic games. And Hughes is good and will turn into the best of the 3 but Dahlin has a way higher ceiling in my opinion. I can admit I don't watch many Devils games but I do watch some and he looks pretty good. But for me, he's no Dahlin.

Kakko is young and has time to develop. Will he be the weakest of the 3, probably, but you can't say for sure this early in their career.

I see Debrincat and Petry making this team.
Don't see Hughes as being better than Larkin by the Olympics, and can't see him playing a 4th line role so I took Hayes and scratched Hughes.
Don't see Guentzel playing a 4th line role.
Kreider seems interesting, I can see it.
Who would your 3rd goalie be?

Sure I agree Dahlin has potential to be best Dman on the planet Hughes has top 10 center potential but he is defiently a star and Id say he could hit a 90... probably is an 86 rn
