    penguins can't take 4.8 million cap unless you're taking Matheson back. It's not even negotiable.

    If they do either of these, the Pens would have to consider it... I think giving him and his talent another chance is worth the a 7th rnd pick...

    How does my single NHL Free Agent signing make no sense? Swap out Hjalmarsson for whatever experienced LHD you want flushed cheeks

    No one ever reads the description...DeAngelo trade can be made with absolutely anyone for anything. I agree he will most likely have to be retained for a team to consider trading for him.

    Just look at teams cap space. you take out the rangers only 4 teams got 4.8 mil

    I actually like the idea of having an experienced swede like hjalmarsson next to lundkvist, maybe if we could get him on a one year deal that would be preferable. no reason to get flamed for it tho

    Thank you! That was my exact thought, I simply wanted a veteran Swede to help Lundqvist ease into the league. A 1 year deal would absolutely be preferable.

    That's why I said I agree that he would most likely have to be retained or like you stated before...take back a similar cap hit.
