No they wouldn't as Ekblad is by far their best Dman, And Broberg is nowhere near NHL ready yet Florida is already bad on the blueline. Puljujarvi isn't lighting it up in Edmonton. Tons of other teams can easily beat this offer for Ekblad.
Broberg isn't NHL ready ATM but he may be by September. My guess is he starts the 2021 season in AHL and gets elevated mid-season. He's developing nicely and he's going to be a stud - he's a valuable prospect.
Puljujarvi has been turning heads this year, he's not the same player he was pre-hip surgery. He's matured and developed, now he's creating chances at an elite rate. Instant 1st line RW for Florida, on a cheap contract and just 22 years old.
The 1st could well be a top-15 pick.
Ekblad isn't all that. Especially when Edmonton has Bear and Bouchard and enough cap space to add a $7.5M player. It's just not worth it.
And throw in the fact that Ekblad is getting paid huge dollars by an organization that is cash strapped and hemoragghing money while Broberg is under $1M for 3 years, Puljujarvi is on a fantastic deal and the 1st costs nothing, I think they'd jump at such an offer.
