IDK about the value, but this makes no sense for both teams. Montreal isn’t trading good players for futures because they’re trying to win now, and Ottawa shouldn’t be trading good prospects for rentals when they’re still a long way away.

I think this is an outdated view. Individually Chabot has been improving defensively for the last couple yesrs, and while he'll never be a shutdown guy he can certainly hold his own in the defensive zone. We just don't have a partner capable of handling other teams's best players with him and can't buy a save.

Well what I meant was I don’t think there’s anyone on the Montreal roster or prospect pool that’s worth Chabot. Like in a 1 for 1 but if you add I mean sure it’s possible
