I know Rakell's value is low right now, but there's a strong chance he bounces back (he's still getting lots of grade A chances). I don't expect Anaheim will trade him when his value is this low, they'll wait it out. But I agree that Bouch deserves more games. But right now I think our best bet is to occasionally play 7 dmen, and just not rush any of our dmen back from injury.

That’s fair for sure I said not necessarily rakell I just saw he was having a bit of a down year and playing on Anaheim’s 3rd line and just added him to that trade but I could definitely see rakell bouncing back

Is Rakell having a down year? I'd generally be against moving Larsson, even though he has had some really tough moments this season, he's still a strong stop gap for Bouchard. Bouchard looked great in the first game and IMO, i'd keep him in the lineup. But I also understand wanting him to get his feet wet before dropping him in full time. Maybe is he looks good for a couple weeks in a row we make this trade.

If Rakell is having a down year, the Oilers should be all over him. Especially since this season we won't have to pay the "division rival premium". He gives and option in the top 6 and worst case scenraio, he's a really really good 3C, which we might need if Turris doesn't start playing better.

We're not really in the market for a rental defenseman, especially at the cost of Rickard Rakell.
