You realize that Montreal only has 800k cap and Mete's cap hit is 700k so a total of just over 1.5 Mil so we can't add Bennett's 2.5 Mil without you taking back more salary.

Maybe something like Byron + Mete + 3rd for Bennett + Mackey (Don't know anything about him just picked a cheap D not named Stone from the roster above)

Bergevin : "I honestly don't care what you want."

Mete wanting a trade doesn't mean he gets one. Mtl is in a better spot with him on the bench then Bennet or another asset. D depth is more important for them right now.
