Description
Soderberg and Zadorov have been dissapointing to start the year

Once Boqvist gets back Colliton should send a message and scratch Zadorov for Boqvist

Entwistle could replace some of Zadorov's physical game and I would like to see what he can bring to the blackhawks since I thought he looked good in the ahl last season.

Boqvist is not good defensively but I feel if he gets a vetarn D, who is also responsiable in his own end, Boqvist could thrive. I think people who are giving up on Boqvist is stupid, Boqvist has the offensive game has the potential to be the next Erik Karlsson. de Haan nor Zadorov is the right fit for him. I think he does the best with Keith but I don't think colliton should spit up Keith and Mitchell. I think the Hawks should trade peices at the TDL, but find a veteran defensemen who can help Boqvist game.

The Zad part I'm ok with. The Söderberg part.... I guess I'd give him a little more slack. Not only because of the lack of practice time he got, but also...his trade value needs to be there. Give him as much time as you can.

Erik Karlsson is 30 now and he's awful. Be careful what you wish for. I don't mind giving guys looks though. I want to see Kalynuk at some point. No reason to not try new things, most teams are already having to get real creative with their line ups.

It’s pretty encouraging to consider that nearly all the youth so far has impressed in various ways. Suter, beaudin, kurashev, Hagel, lankinen, and so on have each contributed and played very well. The only black eye of the youth is boqvist. That’s saying a damn good record. With that in mind, why not keep the trend going and enlist Kalynuk and Entwistle to get chances right? I will admit that if they were playing the style we played against the lightning at the beginning of the year, I don’t think the youth would be as successful. However, this run and gun style is very good to see and is a lot like 08-09.

As for Z and soderberg, totally agree soderberg deserves a few games. Z, however, is worrying me very fast. I really want the last pieces of the panarin trade to finally go away.......

Z hasn't been anything special, he needs to impose himself physically in order to stay in this line up in my opinion. I agree with you, the young kids have been great. If Toews and Dach are healthy this is a 4 spot team. Lankinen is looking like the goalie of the future, knock on wood there. I'd love to see Kalynuk, Krys, Entwistle. Bring all the kids in for experience. It helps keep the others fresh too. Why not use the taxi squad to their advantage and get guys some exposure. It really won't cost anything, this season is so shortened, try to get everyone as much experience as possible.

Call me crazy, but I’d honestly say that if toews and Dach were healthy, we actually wouldn’t be top 4 in division. My rational is that their absence has allowed for more opportunities to be given out and I feel like with many of the youth, you see the energy and excitement of that opportunity. As you mentioned, there’s nothing to lose this season, so yes, let’s get the taxi squad involved. As it stands, it genuinely looks like they could be playing themselves out of a top 5 pick completely and a top 10 possibly. Whether or not that’s a good thing for the future remains to be seen, but damn it’s good to see kurashev, lankinen, and the likes thriving.

That's a fair point. Although the top newcomers like Janmark, Beaudin, Mitchell, Suter, Kurashev would likely still be in the line up.

I sent you one of these before, but wanted to reach out again:

I've been following your posts on here and I think you'd be a great addition to the GM Game here on CapFriendly. The game is basically a season long Arm-Chair team where you get to make trades, draft, etc. and we have a formal scoring system for playoffs. If you are interested and want to know more, just quote and reply to this post and I'll answer any questions you've got. We've got some openings for assistant GMs that would involve you helping GMs by offering input on all aspects of the game.

I appreciate your interest, I simply don't have the time for that right now. Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated!
