I mean I'm sure a lot of these trades would work but that buyout penalty would sting in 2 or 3 seasons when Ottawa wants to win + resign young guys

No way i would pay a first to move okposo. Hes been fine as a 4th liner, and not to be grim, but hes a stiff breeze from ltir too. Plus that 22 draft is stacked. No. Like 11 times out of 10.

As my esteemed colleague @Salzy says, we have no reason to pay even a seventh to have someone take a perfectly fine veteran fourth-liner off our hands. His value is shown by the fact that he stepped right in when Derek Grant got injured.
