I could theoretically see Bear totaling up to Schneider, a first rounder from last year and taking Deangelo.

That leaves Shesterkin to the table, with no real value going NYR's way.

Never mind value that can be debated back and forth all day long not interested in doing that I’m just trying to figure out why the oilers would do this? I like Schneider but why do the oilers pursue? Broberg and bouch are well known very quality youth on the back end coming up not saying better or worse just we have that youth already. I do think the team needs to add a locker room presence but deangelo is the exact opposite of what I had in mind. So the only asset that does make some sense is goaltender but wrong target going to overpay an arm and leg trying to get someone else’s goalie of the future. I’d much rather see the oilers stick to free agency to cover back up position and continue to develop some home grown talent. No offence intended but this is a bad bad bad idea.
