Hmmm. I don’t wanna trade White

I've been following your posts on here and I think you'd be a great addition to the GM Game here on CapFriendly. The game is basically a season long Arm-Chair team where you get to make trades, draft, etc. and we have a formal scoring system for playoffs. If you are interested and want to know more, just quote and reply to this post and I'll answer any questions you've got. We've got some openings for assistant GMs that would involve you helping GMs by offering input on all aspects of the game.

Am I tripping or is this not a lot considering Montour would essentially be a rental and Buffalo's also getting rid of the Okposo contract?

No you're exactly right. Montour is a rental and walks, Davidsson is not a good prospect and is irrelevant and only cute decoration here since the Sens have his brother, and Tage Thompson is simply not very good.

It's easy when broken down. Let's argue it's a 1st and Thompson to take back Okposo's contract. That's about what it would cost to take back that monstrosity, especially since Thompson isn't interesting no matter how much anybody wants him to be. We can ignore Davidsson because he's irrelevant at the NHL level and is included here as fluff. That leaves Montour for White and Stepan. That's a no deal because Montour is a rental and walks, and White is better value to Ottawa. Plus Stepan still has value, even if it's minimal.

If Davidsson is irrelevant, Stepan is irrelevant. Stephan had negative value before being traded to Ottawa and hes lost value since. White, who is long from being a prospect, has proven to be an ok middle 6 winger. Stepan and Okposo negate this season, and the first is enough to dump 2 years of Okopso let alone throw Davidsson onto that value, leaving Montour and Thompson for what could be an expensive 3rd line winger with 4 years left after this

Come on man, just send Okposo to Rochester and maybe he will retire in the coming year.
