At this point, it wld be a dream come true to have Poehling actually MAKE the roster... Getting minutes on the 3rd line seems like a fairytale unfortunately : (

The Blues don;t have cap for this and have zero use for another LD. Then there's splitting up the chemistry Frenchy has with O'Reilly. And Tatar suuuucks in the playoffs. I could go on, but that's more than enough.

Jake Evans is the C with the 2nd highest face off wins and he doesn't cost you much, yet you go out and get a guy to play on 4th line to pay him over $2 million per season?

yes but you said your post was for the trade deadline. He is already buried in Laval and it is only costing the team $325 thousand. By the time the trade deadline comes around that will be down to 150 thousand. So for only 150 thousand is it worth it to give away a free draft pick? just eat the 150 which is 10 bucks to regular people.
