Depends on if Management thinks making the playoffs is important. This isn't enough for Korpisalo, it's 3 meh players for a guy who is coming off an outstanding playoffs. It's clear the Oilers are at best a bubble team in the North, it looks like Calgary is rounding into form and Winnipeg isn't going to be an easy out so the Oilers will be in tough to finish 4th. Without better goaltending I don't see it happening.

6-8 games is a big deal in a 56 game season. 44 games remain. Oilers have 7 games in the next 2 weeks. 15% remaining on the scheduled missed during quarantine and 14 points on the line. In a tight division where they are 1 point out from being 6th in it. Every game matters

thats the point. They are screwed, they arent getting help anytime soon so if the idea is to get someone to upgrade from Koskinen now, its not happening, they will have to ride it out for him for a big chunk of the season waiting for help to arrive and by then it could be too late

The thing is, If they can Upgrade Koskinen 3 weeks from now they will end up with more wins by the end of the season. waiting till deadline does nothing. 14-21 days is actually nothing wen it comes to being better afterwards... there would still be 2/3 of the season left to play catch up.

Don’t forget to mention Korpisalo is also only 27 yrs old. So 8 games is huge this season, however so are the remaining 40 games. I’d also like to point out that while it may be 8 games, we’re not giving up a goalie that would be playing right now anyways. Good for this season, good for future seasons

100% but the issue lies with prying him from CLB. Might need a bit more in there since they are a bubble team and he is their #1 guy. That package might be better off getting Geo from us.

Blue Jackets' 2G and 3G are injured. So that clock doesn't even start right away. Could get Anderson from the Caps for not much, though, and immediately.

(edit: posting out of respect--the guy was amazing last year behind an imperfect defense in Ottawa. He deserves to play)

I fully expect to have to pay a 2022 first and a young defence for korpisalo.
