This team would score 5 goals a game easily. Matthews could possibly break Gretzky's single season goal record and McDavid his single season point record. Vs the current Senators this team would score 15 goals a period. Could they win 60? I'd say 70 isn't out of the question.
does McDavid need chemistry? Superstars make other people around them better.
He absolutely needs chemistry.

Remember him and Matthews at the World Hockey Championships? They already have chemistry, they should be together on the top line with Marner.

1980’s When the Soviets breezed through the NHL all stars. When the college guys won in 1980 it’s because they were the most together as a team. Putting a bunch of good players on the same line does not guarantee you 60+ wins.

Obviously, however, a full training camp and preseason would build chemistry. An allstar team is thrown together without that. Secondly, as I mentioned McDavid and Matthews have already shown chemistry at the world hockey championships and trained together this offseason. Throw Marner out there with them and it would be insane to watch. That alone would be unstoppable, now you have Mack on the 2nd line and that defence as well this team would be utterly dominant and would get better and better as they moved into mid season form. You have to look at this as if it were taking place in a regular season, not like an all star game.

I can see that, but outside the top line, forcing guys together just because they’re talented is not a good idea. Tony Deangelo is very good but too much of an off-ice headache.

Yeah of course but I don't see any head cases on this team.
