Chicago needs a retooling. Not a full blown rebuild but to keep adding good pieces. What a find in Debrincat, I still can't believe he dropped so much in the draft. He should have been a 1st rounder.

I mean if you are selling off serviceable players like that you should at least retain / take back some salary to get a little better deal.

I would rather try to sneak in tbh. We need a retool not a comlete tear down. If we do it corretcly we might be able to have one more short window with the core

Should not be selling Kampf. Wallmark yes, but Kampf is a very important 4th line defensive center who wins faceoffs in the d zone and plays the PK, we don't have a replacement and Wallmark is not it. Wallmark is not a good fit for this team and should be sold to the highest bidder.

Totally agree on moving Zadarov and letting Beaudin and Carlsson fill the left side roles until we find a true 1st line LHD guy. Same goes for De Haan but guessing one of them will be exposed to Seattle.

Janmark has the most value and i'm bit mixed on him as he plays a good role. We don't have that physical and strong top 9 north south skater which Janmark is. Hagel is a bit like him with more speed but doesn't have the strength or quite the physicality of Janmark although Hagel is a great guy to keep around, so not as convinced on moving Janmark at this point as I was a few weeks ago after watching him play in the Hawks system.

Soderberg needs to go as well IMO. He's not a fit for this team long term.

I would try to move Shaw potentially as Hagel is starting to look like a young Shaw with more speed along with Highmore.

Zadorov Boqvist needs to be the next/similar to Methot Karlsson and this team looks ready for the big games. Boqvist is the long term hope. That’s the sad truth. No other prospect in our system really has the potential to be a number 1D. Beaudin (who I’m high on) is most likely going to end up being trade bait unless Keith or De Haan get moved to make room for him. Beaudin Boqvist d pairing gets Laid TF Outtttt come playoffs.

I've been following your posts on here and I think you'd be a great addition to the GM Game here on CapFriendly. The game is basically a season long Arm-Chair team where you get to make trades, draft, etc. and we have a formal scoring system for playoffs. If you are interested and want to know more, just quote and reply to this post and I'll answer any questions you've got. We've got some openings for assistant GMs that would involve you helping GMs by offering input on all aspects of the game.

Beaudan and Mitchell might bot be #1 guys but they both have looked very solid this year. I don't think Beaudan is trade bait at all, Zadorov will be moved before him. Don't forget we have Vlasic and Regula too. Ideally if guys develop right a defense like this could work very well. It's all dependant on Boqvist becoming a #1 guy though.
