Would probably take Soderburg and Murray from that list. Perhaps Goligoski (haven't seen him in a while).

1. Arizona - meh. I don’t think either player helps.
2. Vancouver - where would he even play?
3. Ottawa - why not? Because....where would he play?
4. San Jose - not to get redundant here, but where on earth would they play?
5. Nashville - he could actually help.
6. New Jersey - ya he could help too.
7. Ya he might be the 20th center. No way.

Just trying to get him a cup throw him on the 4th line for a few games and he’s good for the locker room

Stepan or Pearson would be second or third line and you always need depth for injuries especially when you have guys like Kase who can’t stay healthy

Okay, so who comes out of the lineup for either one of those bums? Your options are Krejci, Coyle, Frederic, Debrusk, Ritchie, or Smith.

Pearson, Granlund, Murray would be decent adds. But Boston does not have the resources to trade futures for rentals. The cupboard is bare.

I’ve been a big fan of Granlund for a while now, he would be a good add for some depth scoring. I also like Murray, but Lauzon and Zboril have played well and we already have Moore and Clifton as depth defensemen so I don’t really see a need to add another defensemen when we’d have to give up the few decent futures that we have. So personally, I’d take the Granlund trade and that’s it because while almost everyone that you listed would help, I can’t see giving up good prospects/picks to do the same job that we already have our younger guys doing and doing well.

I know your not asking me but I wanted to try anyways with just Granlund. I’m not a big fan of Stepan or Pearson for the Bruins, but Granlund would be a nice add. I’d go with:
Perfection line (obviously)
DeBrusk-Krejci-Granlund
Ritchie-Coyle-Smith
Frederic-Kuraly-Wagner

That leaves out Bjork, who I’d be willing to move to make this deal possible. Perhaps Bjork and a third for Granlund. NSH may accept that if they’re out of the playoff race.

Granlund would be a good add. Stephan, Pearson, soderberg are all trash pick ups.

I agree. We tried Soderberg in the past. It has been proven that it wouldn’t work out here in Boston

None of these guys would cost too much like an elite prospect or first round pick so they Bruins could make a deal

They easily could, they definitely shouldn’t. Maybe get another backup goalie while you’re filling redundant roles.

Well if a team wants a first or a player like Studnicka or Vaak you hang up the phone. Maybe you should make another redundant post

Based on these first 10 ish games, right now I wouldn't mind the Bruins acquiring either a veteran dman or a veteran bottom 6 forward. Based on my eyes, personally, I would love for them to acquire a veteran bottom 6 forward because I don't know how confident I'd feel if injuries pile on come playoff time and they're still inserting Anton Blidh in the lineup. Just perhaps a veteran, bottom 6 grinder with some scoring? I don't know it's early still, gonna take the next 15 ish games to get a better idea

Lauzon and Zboril have been good but extra support for them is never a bad idea considering they make start to struggle or they could get hurt. Moore and Clifton are options but I’m really not a fan of either playing in important games. Murray wouldn’t cost that much considering the devils got him for cheap no more than a 2nd round pick

Who mentioned a first? What are you talking about? They shouldn’t take those players if offered them for free.

Why can you see the future and that there will be no injuries and no one will start to struggle

Fair. But I’d prefer to call up Vaak to see what he can do rather than use a pick to get a new asset. More risky short term but our prospect pool isn’t great so picks and prospects should be like gold to the Bruins right now. It may make sense value wise, but I’d rather falter for a few games to get a young guy out of a slump than potentially suffer later for getting a guy who wouldn’t push this team to be better than they are right now.

Yes but my point was they should not be trading any assets for rentals. The only way to build that cupboard back up is with picks. Pissing them away for a a few weeks of a player is not in their best interest at this point. If they are not acquiring players with term...go with what they have barring injury or outright failure.

Why did everyone on this post forget Ondrej Kase exists? He’s your internal rental up front. He’s the one who battles with Smith for a second line role or pushes Freddy or Bjork from a third line role. I’m not coughing up the trade assets to land a replacement for Kase when he should be coming back. I like Granlund a lot and pushed for him as a UFA but that was before Ritchie and Freddy broke out. He, Pearson, and Stepan would all be expensive and would end up pushing Ritchie to the fourth line and Freddy out of the lineup if Kase is healthy. Not worth it. If the B’s add up front they should think smaller and get someone who is just more offensive-minded than Freddy or Bjork to sub in if Kase gets hurt again.

I’ve long been a fan of the Murray fit for a number of reasons. An LD1 is the move the Bruins need to make at the deadline and a young impending UFA who could be a long-term option depending on the results of the Expansion Draft is the way to go.
