how do you expect to get BOTH of Tkachuk AND Bernard-Docker without including Hughes? ... that's not happening.

Don't know why Ottawa would do this unless they're getting a similar caliber player back. Rebuilding teams are usually not too willing to give up super skilled 21 year old power forwards...

definitely not offering nothing but i cant see the sens moving both of them unless it was to trade up for a big piece, not trade down into more

im not sure the values there on the JBD one just cause palmieri is an expiring UFA, and rebuilders dont really want to move their prospects for UFA's. Im not overly bullish on sharangovic or zacha although both are good pieces. The tkachuk one would make sense if they were just starting the rebuild but hes kind of solidified himself as a centrepiece for this team moving forward and i cant really see the sens bothering to trade him for more prospects in an already loaded pool, so theres not much value to them there either

True. There are some decent pieces there, but nowhere near enough for Ottawa to even consider either of those trade. A quick and easy NO on both offers.

Never said it was but you are acting like he's a bust. Did you really expect an 18 year old to be a superstar in his first year while playing on the third line with average players? This season he is a completely changed player

The original offers were bad for NJD.

Adding Jack Hughes to them ....is Kayne-level crazy.

This ACGM is projecting his deal in 2022-23. You can't say he won't improve by the time he gets his first real contract

This site gets more and more idiotic.

The trade scenarios are unrealistic, people thinking a prospect has the value of an every day NHL player, yes they have promise, but the further from the best of the best you get, the more likely they won’t be what you want them to be.

Or people offering 5 or 6 or 7 assets for one player thinking the value is right because of how many pieces there are.

How many 7th round picks does it take to equal a 1st round pick? It’s ridiculous some of these quantity for quality offers. Unless a player is on the trade block, he’s not going to be traded for any of these quantity offers.

Of course you want Brady Tkachuk, but if your team traded for him, you would get endless ridiculous offers from someone else that thinks you should trade him to them.

Think about the other team, do they want to trade the player?

Do you want to trade Hughes? I’ll give you Logan Brown, Austin Watson, two 2nds, and our next twelve 7th round picks for Hughes, is that fair?

100% agree with you on quality over quantity. Until the offer is quantity AND quality.

And your Hughes example is looney-tunes. All seven of the players listed from Devils are more valuable than Brown, Watson, and picks.

I never said "add Hughes to the deal".. I said any deal for them includes Hughes. Not that Hughes had to be added on to this

Nico got paid 7.5 x 8 years. Hughes will probably be better than Nico by the time his contract is up.
