Primeau is Exempt from the expansion draft, McNiven is not though. MTL won't give them Primeau, they don't have another solid goalie prospect in the pipeline to take over for Price.
I say it's ones of Allen, chariot or edmunson that gets taken.....low chances of byron but that would be nice to get his salary off the books.

I'm saying Seattle takes Allen. If Montreal wants to dump Byron on them they add Primeau in the deal. No late 2nd rd pick.

Winnipeg, Dallas and Montreal are the 3 easiest expansion draft picks to predict. Berdin, Khudobin and Allen...

yeah wasn't sure if you knew he was exempt but either way I highly doubt MTL gives primeau to protect allen.

You didn't really suggest that trade???

Seattle gets a goalie from Montreal. It could be Byron and Primeau or Allen. Montreal can decide...

He can be traded. That is the cost for Seattle to take cap dump Byron instead of sub 2 gaa .940 sv% Allen...

I get why neither team does this but KK hitting 70 pts it's taken him over 125 games to get to 49 points

Red Wings fans will say no anyways, but I wouldn't do it either. Both have 7 pts in 12games, while Mantha plays 17+ minutes per night and KK barely plays 13

Not that it matters because I doubt this trade would happen, Montreal scores 4 goals a game while Detroit scores 2.

Sure, but on an individual basis, Kotkaniemi contributes more to his offence than Mantha so far this year.
