Barkov will get 10M+ probably.
That's also pretty low for Bertuzzi. Werenski probably gets a bigger contract as well

So top-3 in 2021, top-3 in 2022?

Never been a DET fan...but really prefer an NHL without the vagabond, destitute version of the Red Wings.

Agreed...It is a certainty that CBJ would require a Detroit 1st round pick as a part of any package for Werenski, should they be inclined to trade him

Dude that's not even close for Zach Werenski, Werenski would cost us Larkin+ Bertuzzi gets at least 5 x $5,500,000 both Barkov and Werenski will get 7 x $10,000,000+ possibly even closer to $11 million per each long term.

I think they are about even but I don't see either team giving them up.

I agree on Werenski. But view Larkin as top 15 or 20 center in league.

Note $17,000,000 still in cap space so plenty of room to up dollars in contracts if needed

assuming that the hockey gods are fair and that redwings falling 9 spots in last 3 drafts will balance out. Always a crapshoot.

unfortunately that is where we are till the farm system (which is looking good) comes through. I estimate 2-3 more years before playoff caliber

Cap space is there for a larger contract. 1st rounder in 2023 could be added. And Werenski will leave Columbus when contract is up (haven't you heard Larkin and Werenski are best buds) like Panarin, Piere Luc, Bobrovsky, and probably Laine. It seems stars dont like playing in Columbus. So why not Detroit on the upswing?
