Boston declines. Overpay for a guy with 1 year left. Take Bjork and the 3rd out. Maybe but doubtful.

Canes and Leafs decline. These are all heavily lopsided trades

seems like a lowish price for ellis. I dont know if I want him becuase of that contract and we have to re-sign a few guys upcoming (Sandin, Robertson, hyman and possibly andersen)

Plus that trade destroys our defensive and bottom six depth.

Leafs look at it, but ultimately pass due to Ellis' age/contract, lack of depth after the trade, and cap space with key guys needing new contracts.

I'd love Ekholm paired with Mcavoy.

Deal isn't far off imo but it would have to be made this year. Get Ekholm for a 1.5 years.
