Amazingly, just because players have performed a certain stat line in previous playoffs doesn't actually mean they will do exactly the same in the future. As players get older and gain more experience in the league and playoffs they sometimes are able to learn from the past and perform better or worse in the future. Judging from Mikheyev's play so far this year and understanding he came back from an injury last year and then had to start the play-ins after a lenthy break. Hanging our hats on that performance is a naive approach to criticizing performance. I'd take Mikheyev on the 3rd line any day.
