Resign Tatar for around $5 mil, and plug in a $2-2.5 mil 3C. Leaves you with cap space for a 13th Fwd.

Resign Tatar and move Evans up to 3C he has the skill and hockey IQ to play 3C, and rotate Poehling, Vejdemo, Teasdale and others in until we find a permanent replacement at 4C.

Also Caufield will not be playing on the 4th line move Armia back and Cole to 3RW

    3C could be Poehling?

Or Evans for that matter. It's not like he's being blown out in the faceoff circle.

The problem with that lineup is it leaves very little $ to re-sign Suzuki & Romanov the year after.

It may seem like they have space but realistically you can probably only get 1 of those 2 spots filled through UFA. Probably have to let Armia or Lehkonen walk as well unfortunately.

I agree, thinking for the following year strongly makes the case that one of the two $4+mm adds is a luxury we can’t afford. Unless you sign them specifically with the understanding that someone is getting dealt the following offseason. The likelihood is that at least one player will underperform that we’ll want to move on from, and if not, then that’s a good problem to have. Player asset values will be even higher in that case.

He’s gonna be an interesting player to watch in Laval these upcoming weeks, no doubt.

Yep, I imagine the composition of our bottom six will be in constant motion.
