Absolutely nuts but I think there might be more problems stemming from the org considering they haven’t been able to keep any players happy it seems for years I could definitely be wrong and torts probably is a factor-large factor but I don’t think he’s the only issue there

If teams want to get rid of some contracts, just make a trade with Columbus. The player retires, no long term cap implications or Columbus , and Columbus gets a third rounder n the trade.

For these guys who make serious coin, there's not even a tax play ... Its not as bad as Taxes in Cali, NY, NJ, Chicago ... but its no bargain either.

Places like TB really have a big advantage there.

& Dallas etc ... tax equalization is probably a bigger deal than we all appreciate. So hard for less sexy franchises in high tax states (SJS, CBJ, NJD ect) vs. TB/Vegas .... at least Leafs, Rangers and the like have that draw to overcome the tax issue.

Their biggest issue is they are missing ADA.. He will step into that locker room and bring them all together. There's no denying his leadership is insatiable. They really just need a guy like ADA to wear the C and show them how to play a proper 2 way game!

I got a 99% success in latin in high school, my best grade ever (yeah french dont use letter grades), and I can honestly say I never used it my whole life.

Don’t you think if Jarmo has no intention of bringing Torts back he would have fired him and tried to keep PLD happy. If that was the reason he wanted out, which I’m just guessing at.

PLD came out and said torts wasn’t the reason he wanted out. That said he didn’t officially give any other reason. I’d guess if torts was that major of an issue PLD never would have signed.

I’d guess there was something else like he wanted a bigger stage, and then the issue with the torts came out after he said it to the public.

Also if you fire torts there no good coaching candidate to replace him right now as there might be in the offseason at coaching carousel time.
