He’s a LW. Plays LW, always has. Tends to play alittle on the right side sometimes here and there. But not a RW. Not his position. But ok.
Coming from the biggest PO-Joseph doubter ever..lol.
Very few clips and film out on Maniscalco. He has the size, but ???, where’s all the film and whose really seen him play?? He’d be up if was good enough. They had W.Reilly up. Pens would play him(just like Marino) if he “WON” his spot. Deserves his spot. Atleast he’s be on the taxi squad if he was ready. You just can’t give it to him b/c he has size.
A. what are you talking about "very few clips of him ....who's seen him play" He played a ton at AZ of which I've seen several games, and he's got 3 games in at WBS. Of which I've seen all 3.
He's down in the AHL because they want him getting ice time not because he's can't play. Don't think for one moment the team would just play him "like marino" that was a totally different situation, they were desperate for defensemen. It's like saying the penguins would have just played POJ if he had "won" his spot. We know that's not true. As he was put behind 2 other players one of which in Riikola we know isn't as good. Sadly this team doesn't make decisions based on talent. If you want to argue otherwise you can start by explaining to the whole Freaking fan base how the F Jack Johnson kept getting ice time!
Furthermore, I never doubted if POJ would be an NHL player, simply not ready this year and that was based on his play last year.
Reality is, you wanted to go with the arguement that Poulin isn't able to beat out guys like ERod and Sceviour for a roster spot. I call BS on that all day long.
POJ on the other hand had a much harder hurdle to climb to getting ice time, and only got it due to injuries. Poulin was held back basically out of a dinosaur way of doing things, not because of the "talent" on the ice, as there is seriously a lack there of.
And while you would like to nitpick on the side he's on, he has played RW before, You have to get ice time where you can get it. And he's clearly the best forward out of what they have and you put your best forwards on the ice, even if they are playing opposite their shot.
You can't honestly look at the roster currently rolled out there and tell me you got a reason other than "we just don't play 19 year olds" for him not skating over Sceviour, who brings nothing. They have nothing to lose.
