Alexis Lafreniere was the #1 overall pick and I don't think that offer gets the 1st overall pick

Laughable. Start with Suzuki or KK+Romanov and keep adding. MTL fans are always so unrealistic with how valuable their players are.

Lafreniere has 1 point in 11 games, looks like he might need some time in the AHL to get his confidence back.

Montreal is not trading Suzuki and Romanov for a guy who is supposed to be a generational tallent yet has 1 point in 11 games and none in his last 5 games. Get real people! You may have taken the wrong player 1st overall. The Q is notorious for producing players who can rack up points in JR hockey and doing nothing in the NHL. I am not saying that is Lafreniere but if I am the Rangers I am certainly pulling Alexis aside and having a chat with him and even considering sending him to the AHL for some time.

seems like an overreaction for his first 11 games in the nhl. regardless, that's the price. if you dont want to pay it we'll keep laffy thanks

That's good keep him. I hope he doesn't become the next Alexander Daigle but there that risk with ďrafting out of the Q.

R u joking? Do you remember Jack Hughes? How’s he doing this year. Lafrieniere is generational, get real. He’ll be fine. KK peaks at 2C, Chiarot doesn’t fit the Rangers age demographic or future, the 1st will be close to a 2nd. This package is laughable

I never said anything about the package being worth Lafreniere. I said Montreal wouldn't do Suzuki + Romanov + for him, which I believe is a pretty safe bet. I also said that Lafreniere MAY need some time in the AHL as he has 1 point in 11 games. It is not a knock on a rookie to need some time adjusting to the pro game in the AHL. It is just to help his development.

Overreacting? All I said was after having only 1 point in 11 games I would have a chat with Lafreniere and even consider sending him to the AHL for a bit to adjust to the pro game. There is nothing wrong with sending a guy down who is struggling. Especially in a shortened season like this. I think what you are upset about was my saying he could turn into another Daigle. Daigle was also considered a generational tallent and was picked 1st overall. He also made the jump directly to the NHL and struggled. They are similar players with similar projections. I honestly hope Lafreniere doesn't turn out like that but IMO the Rangers need to do something to light a fire under his butt and sending him down to the AHL or having a conversation with him may just be what gets him going.

Ok cool! Let's start the package with Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Caufield, and an unprotected 1st!

he is a rookie hughes and hischier both didn't look exceptional their first year now they look great so its about being patient and not being dumb enough to think 11 games counts as a whole career
